Ellen And Portia Dish To Oprah

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi have been very open about their feelings for each other, and the happy couple made a joint appearance on Monday’s “Oprah.” Ellen introduced her wife as “The smartest, kindest, most wonderful woman that you’ll ever, ever know.”
Portia revealed a bit about her initial reluctance to become involved with Ellen, even though she knew she loved her “When I first laid eyes on her.” She continued, “But it took me three years to actually tell her how I felt about her, because I was on ‘Ally McBeal’ at the time and wasn’t living as an openly gay person. I was closeted and very very afraid that if I talked about being gay it would be the end of my career. So I wasn’t about to date the most famous lesbian in the world.” Obviously, love conquered all for Ellen and Portia!

Ellen And Portia Are Married – Without Children

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are happy to be a married couple, but don’t have any plans to add to their family. The TV host was quite outspoken when AOL asked about the possibility of having children.
“No, I don’t think we’re going to have kids. We have animals, and we love them. They don’t talk back, and they don’t explore their vocal chords out in public. And, you know, we are brand new aunts. Her brother and his wife just had a baby girl who’s a month old now, and it’s fun to be a part of that.
“But no, I think, you know, we definitely thought about it. And it’s something I think most people, as a relationship goes on, explore. But it’s just a huge responsibility, and I don’t know that that’s something we want to take on. We’re very happily married without children.”
It sounds like they’re taking the subject very seriously, and there’s always adoption if they change their minds later.

Ellen DeGeneres is on the cover of the new Ladies Home Journal and she discusses subjects including beauty and her wedding day to Portia de Rossi.
“To me it’s sad to be defined by beauty, because it’s something that goes away and changes. If you’re trying to chase that forever, you’re in trouble. As I’ve aged and matured, I just feel better about myself, more confident and more comfortable in my own skin. As that’s happened, I think I look better than I’ve ever looked, because that’s just what happens when you feel better about yourself.”
“It’s just very emotional. You find the person you love, you think you’ve come this far…and anyway, I never thought I’d have a wedding, and I did, and it meant more than I imagined.”
Let’s just hope the courts will allow this happy couple to remain married in the eyes of the law.

Ellen And Portia Go Vegan

Portia De Rossi told Reuters UK that she and wife Ellen De Generes have become vegans for several reasons.
“We just made that shift in our lives. The benefit of it is weight loss. For her more than me. Her body responded to it very well. It is amazing.
“We are just both very happy. It feels like such a compassionate choice. We are such animal lovers, why stop short of cows and chickens? It didn’t make any sense.”
The couple gave up meat and dairy late last year.

Ellen and Portia are seen out for a stroll in the Hollywood Hills yesterday. They were on their way to celebrate little Olive Cohen’s first birthday. Let’s just look at Portia for a sec though. I am loving her outfit, with its messy cool vibe. Check and plaid shirts are definitely a hot trend right now and hers works well here with its great fit and one side loosely tucked. She doesn’t make this plaid look like she’s channeling Kurt Cobain but rather going for city western.
