Candle Blowers
Monday, July 21st, 2008It hasn’t been the best year for Robin Williams’ personal life. He and his wife of nineteen years, Marsha, filed for divorce in March (so sad). Thank goodness his career is still going strong. He recently did a special guest appearance on Law & Order: SVU and he’s currently filming Old Dogs with John Travolta. And today is Robin’s 57th birthday, so a big happy born-day to Mr. Nanu-Nanu. Other folks celebrating with Mr. Williams:
Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley (the singer & Bob’s hottest son is 30)
Josh Harnett (the actor also turns dirty-30)
Jon Lovitz (the comedian/actor is 51)
MIchael Connelly (the author is 52)
Yusuf Islam (the singer formerly known as Cat Stevens is 60)
Garry Trudeau (the Doonesbury artist is 60)
Edward Herrimann (the Gilmore Girls star is 65)
Teaching Old Dogs New Tricks
Tuesday, June 24th, 2008Yes, you can definitely teach old dogs new tricks and you can also teach them how to play with baby dolls. Check out Robin Williams and John Travolta having fun with their new toy on the set of Old Dogs. I can just imagine how much fun these two are having. Seth Green is also part of the cast, so it must be a rambunctious little group! Robin’s been keeping busy since he announced a couple of months ago about his pending divorce. Besides Old Dogs, he is in talks to star in the political biopic The Prince of Providence. We’ve seen his acting chops in dramatic roles, so let’s hope his schedule permits his participation in the film. For now, he’s working with fellow Old Dog John T. in Marina del Rey, so check out more pics below.
Mork Loves Shopping
Monday, April 7th, 2008
Nanu-nanu. Remember Mork & Mindy? I loved that show. I have yet to find a channel that shows reruns! Anyway, our photogs found Mork himself, Robin Williams, shopping at Fred Segal in West Hollywood this weekend. Robin and his wife of 19 years just announced they were divorcing a couple of weeks ago, so maybe Robin was doing a bit of retail therapy. Hey, men do that, too. Robin was one of the stars who participated in Idol Gives Back, the special show that American Idol created to raise money for different causes. Besides shopping, nothing beats the breakup blues like giving back, so it’s great Robin is staying busy. Hang in there, Robin!

Robin’s Law & Order
Friday, March 28th, 2008
On the heels of the unfortunate news that his 19 year marriage is over, Robin Williams went back to work by guest starring on NBC’s longstanding show, Law & Order. How long has this show been on? I think it’s permanently on NBC’s roster. Robin filmed a scene today in NYC with L&O regular, Richard Belzer, and he looked like he was having some laughs. Robin and Marsha Garces Williams married in 1989, and it’s really sad to hear that they’re divorcing. Divorces are sad anyway, but it’s especially heartbreaking when the couple have been together so long. I really hope Robin gets the support he needs and doesn’t go back to drinking. Call your sponsor everyday, Robin! Put that sucker on speed dial and stay busy! There, that’s my advice for him. More pics of Robin Williams are available below. Check them out.
