What A Weekend
Monday, October 6th, 2008Lots of stuff happens over the weekend and sometimes we just can’t keep up with it all being that Sundays are usually Family Days here at JFX. So I’m going to round up the biggest stories out there for you.
If you’ve been wondering where Sam Lufti has been lately, wonder no more. TMZ caught up with the one time self-proclaimed Britney manager at LAX over the weekend. He said pretty much exactly what you’d expect him to say.
Miley Cyrus celebrated her Sweet 16 Birthday with a celebration at Disneyland yesterday. People has the full story but funny enough, yesterday was Gay Day at the park, which means thousands of Gay and Lesbians were kicked out of the park early so that Miley could have the park all to herself and guests! But they did keep California Adventure open late as a consolation! David Archuleta, Demi Lovato, Tyra Banks, Cindy Crawford, and Steve Carell showed up to help the tween star celebrate her birthday a couple weeks early.
Britney Spears hit up the Dromo-1 Go Kart center in Anaheim, Ca. yesterday for some go-kart racing fun with one of her managers. TMZ has video of Britney racing around the indoor track in full helmet and neck guard. I’m not sure if they let Britney won or not but she did walk out with a nice trophy.
Beverly Hills Chihuahua won the box office battle this weekend, taking in $29 million for it’s opening weekend, nearly doubling second places, Eagle Eye, which took in $17.7 million.
Janet Jackson canceled shows over the weekend. Janet was hospitalized in Montreal for an unknown illness that Perez is reporting to be Vertigo. Shows in North Carolina, Atlanta, Ft. Lauderdale have also been canceled.
Oh yeah, the DODGERS swept the Cubs in the first round of the playoffs! I’m visioning a Dodgers-Red Sox World Series! What a ratings bonanza that would be!
Sammy v. Adnan - Who’s Winning?

Who really owns Britney Spears’ heart? From what I’ve gathered the last few weeks, she seems to be most enamored with Starbucks coffee and chocolate bars. She currently has two men at her side - Sam Lufti, her “adviser” and Adnan Ghalib, her photog boyfriend. Adnan hasn’t been around lately, so the media assumed that he’s run his course and Brit’s moved on. Sam, on the other hand, has and is always next to his Britney. Seriously, what could he be advising Britney about? Sam was there when she took a few friends for a late-night shopping spree last week. Was he there so he can carry the bags? And even though this picture shows a united front, with Sam and Adnan both holding Brit’s hand, you know Sam’s hating the fact that his title is not “boyfriend”. It’s okay to be in love with her, dude. Just admit it. Celine Dion married her manager. Maybe you’ll get just as lucky. Um, with Britney, not with Celine. Just had to clear that up.
