Alanis Knows How To Get Over A Break-Up

The picture above, of course, is an older one of Alanis from 2006 when she was still a happy little bee with then fiance, Ryan Reynolds. Ryan, as we all know, is now engaged to Scarlett Johansson. Alanis and Ryan dated for over four years and broke up in 2007. Well, the singer is now talking about how she got over that harsh break-up. After her split with Ryan, the Canadian-born singer said she recovered by going on “lots of dates” and having “lots of sex”, but only after being devastated the first couple of months post break-up. Once Alanis was feeling better, she banned herself from getting into another relationship for twelve months. What came, instead, were lots and lots of dates and sex. “No strings relationships have helped cure me of love addiction,” she stated. Hey, you gotta’ try whatever works, right? Alanis has a new boyfriend and she released a new album earlier this year, so I think it’s safe to say she’s doing much better these days.
No Cannes Cannes For ScarJo

Who knew Scarlett Johansson could be such a diva? I just read about ScarJo missing Cannes Film Festival because of her arduous demands. Scarlett’s supposed to be in Cannes promoting her new Woody Allen-directed film, Vicky Cristina Barcelona. Her co-star Penelope Cruz is in attendance, as well as Mr. Allen himself. Scarlett was scheduled to also attend the festival, but reports are saying that she demanded too many things. The film’s distributor, Warner Brothers, was all set to pay for airfare, accommodations, limos, etc., but Scarlett wanted more. For one, instead of staying at a hotel in the center of festivities (where Penelope and Woody are also staying), ScarJo reportedly wanted to stay somewhere about half an hour away. She also didn’t want to share make-up and hair people and requested to have her own $5,000/day stylist. WB gawked at her request, so Scarlett opted to stay home instead. If this is all true, then I wish her wedding planner all the luck in the world. It sounds like she could totally turn into a Bridezilla once she starts planning her wedding to Ryan.

It’s official - Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson are engaged. Rumors of their engagement came out a couple of months ago, but they were premature. I guess they wanted to wait for Cinco de Mayo to get engaged. Makes sense. Their rep confirmed the engagement to Usmagazine.com. The couple have been dating since last spring. Ryan was once engaged to singer Alanis Morissette, but they separated after four years together. I wonder if she’s going to write another “You Oughta’ Know” for Ryan. Probably not. Well, a big congrats to Scarlett and Ryan. I’m sure they’ll make beautiful babies together soon.

Getting a date with Scarlett Johansson is apparently worth $40,100. Relax, she’s not part of the sex scandal going on in the New York City governor’s office; in fact, Scarlett’s actually doing this for charity. A meet-and-greet with Scarlett was up for bidding on eBay as part of Oxfam America’s charity fundraiser. The bidding ended today and the winner is forking out $40,100 for the exclusive date with ScarJo. What does the date include? Well, the winner will get to meet Scarlett at the premiere of her upcoming movie, He’s Just Not That Into You. They’ll also get a chauffered car and hair and makeup by Prive. On Location: New York, I Love You

No, that’s not Kenny from South Park - it’s actually Scarlett Johansson all bundled up on the set of her new movie, New York, I Love You. Scarlett was spotted along with costar Kevin Bacon filming yesterday in NYC (makes sense) by our lovely east coast paps. Kevin looks like a dapper hitman, doesn’t he? New York, I Love You is going to be an anthology of several love stories set in, you guessed it, the big apple. I read that Scarlett’s actually directing one of short films in the movie, and since she’s a native New Yorker, it’s just fitting. Anyway, we have more pics from the set below. Check them out.
