Happy Birthday, Selma Blair! I loved you in Hellboy (and soon on Hellboy 2), but you were just super lovely on Cruel Intentions. Yes, I went back to 1999, but we still heart that movie so. Selma turns 36 today and she’s definitely representing women in their 30s very well. Good times. Other celebrants today on this lovely Monday:

Chanel Brings In The Stars

Chanel sure knows how to throw a party. Launching a new jewelry line, Chanel hosted a fabulous party at the legendary Plaza Hotel in NYC last night. There were celebrities galore in attendance, including Julia Stiles. I haven’t heard from Julia in a while and she’s definitely due for a new movie. I heard she will be starring in the movie adaptation of Sylvia Plath’s The Bell Jar, so I’m hoping that’s coming out soon.
Christy Turlington and husband Edward Burns were also at hand. These two are a handsome couple, aren’t they? Christy still looks absolutely gorgeous and she can probably still out-model any of the younger strutters of today.
And Selma Blair was also there. Selma’s a fashionista at heart, so it’s not a surpise to catch her in events like this. I’m loving that dress and her hair!
The President’s daughter was also in attendance. Barbara Bush and date got to take home whatever yummy stuff hid in the gift bag. Barbara’s twin sister, Jenna, just announced that she will be getting married soon. Barbara, on the other hand, seems more the party girl type than her sis. But what do I know!
Selma Lets Pup Finish His List

In what has to be the most festive act we’ve seen thus far, Selma Blair took her cutie pup out to Beverly Hills so it can finish its Christmas shopping. Yes, celebrity pups have their own circle of canine friends and they do an annual secret Santa. Ah, the knowledge you acquire by reading this blog. It’s also nice that Selma decided to go with the neutral tone look to match her beloved dog. Now that’s what I call puppy love. And yes, I smacked myself in the head for writing that corny last sentence. Actually, Selma and her boyfriend were out and about yesterday doing their holiday shopping in Beverly Hills. They just so happen to take their dog with them and you can see how doting Selma is with the animal. Selma will be starring in a sequel to Hellboy, which should be out next year, as well as a comedy with Meg Ryan and Antonio Banderas called My Mom’s New Boyfriend. We have more pics of Selma, her man and the dog coming right at you, so please devour them.

We caught up with Selma Blair yesterday while doing a little Christmas shopping at Cuvee in Beverly Hills. Selma, in an odd celebrity trend, actually fed the parking meter, did not park in the red zone and did not park in a handicapped parking spot! Our photographers weren’t sure to what to make of it. Selma will be seen next in Hellboy 2, which you can also see the character poster for her below.
