Stations Shoot Down Osbournes

If you’re one of the three or four people actually looking forward to the debut of air “The Osbournes: Reloaded” on Fox after “American Idol” tonight, you may be out of luck. Some stations are refusing to air the latest show from the raunchy rock family.
This morning, Panama City, FL’s News Herald reported that local Fox affiliate WPGX had chosen not to air the series. WPGX Fox 28 general manager David Cavileer stated he ”just felt it was not keeping with community standards.”
Has this guy looked around at his community lately? Right now, a zillion college students are down there for Spring Break. You can bet some of the stuff they’re doing will be raunchier than anything the Osbournes can come up with. I’ve been to PC, and it has more strip bars than Hollywood does.
Several more stations around the country have since decided not to air the show. Will this make more viewers who can watch the show actually check it out, hoping to see something dirty? Nah. That’s what we have cable for. The only people watching this dud will be the ones too lazy to pick up the remote after “Idol” is over.

Sharon’s Not So “Charm”-ing

This weekend’s “Rock of Love:Charm School” reunion turned into a smackdown that sent contestant Megan Hauserman to the hospital claiming that she was attacked by host Sharon Osbourne. The LAPD is investigating charges that during the show, Osbourne ran across the stage, grabbed Hauserman’s hair and had to be pulled off by security. It seems that Osbourne took offense when the contestant cracked that she was only famous for “managing a brain-dead rock star.” Gee, some people get upset over the least little thing.
