Shia LaBeouf shopped at Gelson’s in Sherman Oaks, CA, with an unidentified friend. What’s with the “Best Dad” tee shirt? Did he get it from Goodwill? Or did his dogs buy it for him on Father’s Day?

“Transformers” star and bad driver Shia LaBeouf was seen on the streets of Encino, CA, Are those old guys his lawyers? He must keep them pretty busy.

It’s been nine months since Shia LaBeouf’s hand was mangled in an auto accident, but the actor still doesn’t have full use of his fingers.

Shia told EW about his progress. “I’ve had screws and plates put in. They put a screw in one of my knuckles. And they shaved a piece of bone off my hip and made a [bone for my] finger out of it.”

Ouch! That sounds painful. But that’s not all. “I’m on my third surgery. That’s coming up in a week or two [from April 2]. My middle finger is still crooked as a f—ing noodle, so they’ve gotta straighten it out and put a screw in it.”

Will the hand ever be back to normal? “Probably about 80-something percent. I’ll be able to make a fist again. There’s a knuckle I’ll never be able to move again, but that’s probably the only permanent damage, other than the scarring.”

While the accident was ruled to be not Shia’s fault, he had his license suspended for a year due to his refusal to take a breathalyzer test. Maybe if he hadn’t been drinking and driving that night, he’s still have both his license and full use of his hand.

OK, so you get your licenses taken away for a year and your hand will probably never be what it used to be but c’mon Shia, you’re bumming us all out. Do you know how many people will still trade lives with you despite the nipped wing and you can’t cruise Ventura Blvd? Cheer up buddy. Life’s really not that bad!

Looking decidedly glum, actor Shia LaBeouf was spotted drinking a Diet Coke on the front steps of  a friend’s house in Glendale this afternoon. Since he’s lost his driver’s license for a year, maybe he’s waiting for a ride to the liquor store.

A badly mangled hand isn’t the only after-effect of Shia LaBeouf’s car crash last summer. Access Hollywood reports that the actor has lost his driver’s license for a year. The suspension took effect January 17 and according to the Department of Motor Vehicles, is the result of LaBeouf’s “refusal of chemical tests” following the accident.

Although the L.A. County DA has not charged the actor with DUI, he was arrested after the crash and his refusal to take a breathalyzer test later resulted in the suspension.

Let’s hope Shia will consider all this a learning experience and never drive after drinking again. However, since these photos were taken today as he was walking to the liquor store, things aren’t looking too good. And neither is he.

Actor Shia LaBeouf is recovering nicely from a second surgery on his badly injured left hand. A source close to LaBeouf told E! News that the star had a procedure done two weeks ago to correct damage around his thumb suffered in his DUI accident last summer.

Hopefully, the docs can fix him up as good as new—but that LaBeouf has learned his lesson about drinking and driving.

The problems from Shia LaBeouf’s drunk driving accident last summer keep coming. Now Fox News is reporting that he has been forced to drop out of a new film because of his badly injured hand. LaBeouf was set to star in the film “Dark Fields,” a story about a man who stumbles on a one of a kind smart pill,which was originally scheduled to begin shooting this fall. But despite surgery, the smashed hand is not healing well and LaBeouf is unable to do the film. This is what happens when you drink and drive, kids.

Disney cutie Selena Gomez has big news on her career—and a crush on Shia LaBeouf. No doubt encouraged by the runaway success of “High School Musical 3: Senior Year,” the Mouse House will be bringing Selena’s hit series “Wizards of Waverly Place” to the big screen next year. Selena hopes to use the series or the film to meet her crush Shia LaBeouf, who also got his start on Disney. She joked:

“You’d think as much as I promote it (Shia would be guest starring). I’m like begging, but it’s not happening. I now I’m a nerd! Please, Shia, come on my show!”

Since Disneyland is supposed to be where fairy tales come to life, maybe Selena will get her wish.

After what would have been more than enough evidence to arresst  John Q. Taxpayer with Driving Under the Influence, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office has decided not to press charges against actor Shia LaBeouf, citing insufficient evidence. I don’t know why I’m surprised. After all, it’s not like he refused to take a breathalyzer test or anything like that. Oh wait, he did, didn’t he? And thankfully for that because he’ll likely have his drivers license suspended for refusing it. We all like Shia here at JFX but still, it’s hard to believe he’s going to get what amounts to a slap on the wrist for the cameras.

If you look a bit closer, you might notice the knife Shia’s packing in his front jean pocket. I’m not up on my concealed weapon laws but let’s hope Shia is because the last thing he needs is another scandal!

Transformers star Shia LaBeouf has been cleared of any wrongdoing for the early-morning car crash he was involved in on Sunday, reports the Associated Press. Sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore said that detectives have found that the other driver involved ran a red light and will be charged. Shia was with his Transformers co-star Isabel Lucas, who was not injured in the crash. He was arrested for misdemeanor DUI Sunday morning and is currently recovering from an extensive hand surgery. He should be back filming the sequel in about a month. Shia graces Details Magazine’s September cover and he opened up about his drinking issues. “I don’t know how to do it like a gentleman,” he commented. “I don’t know how to have one drink.” Well, let’s hope Sunday’s mayhem will shed a little light on Shia and that he’ll get the help he needs.

My, my, my. Shia LaBeouf seems to be in a bit of trouble. Look at the state of his truck. That truck was sitting on it’s roof, y’know, completely upside down, on the corner of La Brea and Fountain early Sunday morning. What a mess. Shia has undergone what it said to be extensive surgery on his left hand which he injured in the crash along with a banged up knee. Shia’s female passenger was reported to have crawled out of the wreckage, only sustaining minor injuries. Thankfully, the driver in the car that was involved in the accident with Shia had only minor injuries as well. Shia’s had some other recent drunken drama and he’s slowly starting to become the nicest bad boy in Hollywood. Check out the video below.

Our photogs spotted Transformers star Shia LaBeouf running some errands in the valley yesterday and picking up on some interesting habits (see pic below). Hey, we all get the itch to pick our nose in public at times (don’t lie, you know you do), but Shia’s certainly not shy about it. Good for him, I say. Good for him. Pick on, Shia! What’s next for Shia? His movie, Eagle Eye, is coming out in September. The movie’s a thriller about two strangers (Shia and Michelle Monaghan) who become the pawns of a mysterious woman they have never met, but who seems to know their every move. Realizing they are being used to further her diabolical plot, they must work together to outwit the woman before she has them killed. Ooh, sounds like good times. Can’t wait to see it! It’s none other than Shia LaBeouf. He was out in Burbank this weekend waiting for his kick boxing class to start with the rest of the amateur kick boxers. And yes, he’s making that funny face again.

Having the number one movie in the box office means you go into the local liquor store and someone blogs about you buying water. Our photogs caught up with Mr. Number One himself, Shia LaBeouf, as he was leaving a quick-mart. Shia’s movie (okay, it’s really Harrison Ford’s, but Shia’s in it), Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of The Crystal Skull, has already made over $150 million since its debut last Wednesday. Insane. And what’s that on Shia’s face, you might be asking. I have no clue. I really don’t. I thought there was something on my computer screen, but I wiped it off and it wouldn’t budge. Sigh. But your guess is as good as mine. Anyway, check out more pics of Shia below and maybe you can tell me what the heck is on his face.

Does every young Hollywood star have to get arrested for something? Seriously, it’s not a ritual. Well, Shia LaBeouf is the latest young actor who might be going to jail if he doesn’t clear up an existing arrest warrant. Seems that Shia was ilegally smoking outside a Burbank gift shop and got a ticket. He was supposed to appear in court this morning, but neither he nor his lawyer appeared. Now he has an outstanding bench warrant out on him. First of all, as a smoker, it sucks that he had to get a ticket for that, but I’m sure many of you non-smokers are loving it. Second, this doesn’t really qualify him as a bad boy, does it? And third, couldn’t he just pay off the ticket? Why is Burbank being so dramatic about all of this? Then again, Shia was arrested last year for some nonesense at a Chicago Walgreen’s. Maybe he’s just waiting for that big arrest. Who knows. Just behave, Shia. And next time just smoke in your car when you’re in Burbank.

We spotted a beat up looking Shia LaBeouf and his Eagle Eye co-star Michelle Monaghan on the Los Angeles set of Eagle Eye yesterday. Thankfully, Shia’s only made up to look beat down but it sure does help age him up a bit. He actually looks legal now doesn’t he? So all you mature females who have their secret Shia fantasies can now stop feeling guilty about them now that Shia’s finally starting to look legal! The scene is taking place at an airport with Michelle and Shia boarding a transport bus. Michelle was looking pretty hot herself despite wearing the St. Louis cap! No offense to those in St. Louis, but it’s all about Torre and the Dodgers!

It’s none other than Harrison Ford decked out in his Indiana Jones get-up. Ford is reprising the classic role for the Steven Spielberg directed Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. It is still impressive to see Harrison don the fedora and khakis and we can’t wait to check out this movie when it’s released May 2008, even with that whacked out title. Recognize that face in the third image? Yup, that’s Shia again. The boy is growing up quick on screen and you’ll get a better chance to see what I mean in a little bit as we’ll be posting some more pictures of Shia from the set of his currently being filmed project, Eagle Eye.

You can see him hamming it up with co-stars and/or extras, and looking might dapper don in that suit. I wonder if that’s one of his main get-ups in the movie. Shia’s career has really skyrocketed since Transformers and he was awesome in Disturbia. He’s been cast a lot as that boy-next-door computer hacker type of dude, which is fine and all, but I’d love to see him in a romantic comedy. Emphasis on the comedy, please. He can star opposite Rihanna or Hillary Duff, or to spice it up – an older woman. Maybe a remake of The Graduate, except a comedy. Hmmm, just a thought. Either way, I’m sure we’ll be seeing more and more of Mr. LaBeouf and his charming smile.
