Spider-Man star Tobey Maguire nd his wife, jewelry designer Jennifer Meyer Maguire, are expecting their second child next spring. The couple already have a daughter, two-year-old Ruby Sweetheart. Maguire was on David Letterman’s show not long after Ruby’s birth and told him:

“It’s a very dramatic change. My whole life is in transition now, with friendships and where I’m going to live, you know, just your whole perspective. It’s great. She’s so adorable. She’s just a smiley little beautiful thing.”

Aww—sounds like a doting daddy to me!

I know Leo doesn’t vote because he’s too afraid he’ll be photographed at the polls! Happy 33rd Birthday, Spider-Man! That’s right, it’s Tobey Maguire’s birthday today and I wouldn’t be surprised if he celebrates it doing exactly what he’s doing on this picture – hanging out at the park, shoes off, and watching his little girl, Ruby Sweetheart, play her little heart out in the swings or something. Hey, even Spidey has to eat and so does his wife and little girl! Our photogs spotted a semi-bearded Tobey Maguire with his wife Jennifer and daughter Ruby at Whole Foods in West Hollywood yesterday. Whoa, try saying that last sentence in one breath (my smoker’s lungs couldn’t do it). Okay, back to the cuteness that is the Maguire family. I like how Tobey’s holding Ruby. It looks like he’s about to throw her or something (in a loving way, of course). And I do appreciate that the family is very environment-friendly. Check out Jennifer carrying her own little (grocery) shopping bag. Or is that a diaper bag? Well, whatever it is, it’s cute. Word on the streets and offices of Hollywood studios is that Spider-Man 4 is set to release in 2011. Yes, that’s three years from now, but these big blockbuster movies take some time to make. The big news is that Tobey might not reprise his role as Peter P./Spidey. Well, we’ll just have to wait three years and see, don’t we? In the meantime, check out more pics of Tobey and family below.
