Friday, September 26th, 2008I showed you Tom Cruise’s Valkyrie movie poster yesterday and now the trailer for the movie has hit the internet. The movie is absolutely huge and at times, it leaves you feeling awkward. Director Bryan Singer definitely went out of his way to let you know where we are history, using the Nazi swahtika to pound you visually. And amid all the quick and flashy cuts, it looks like a great story with an top shelf cast. Just in time for the holidays too!
Angelina Takes Over For Tom

Forbes Magazine’s number ten top-earning actress of last year, Angelina Jolie, might be making another deposit in her bank account. The Mr. and Mrs. Smith actress and mother of six is in talks to replace Tom Cruise in the Columbia Pictures espionage thriller, Edwin A. Salt, Variety reports. Tom was interested in the project, but recently dropped out of the running, the paper also stated. The script will be redrafted and the title changed if Angelina signs on to play a CIA officer who’s accused by a defector of being a Russian sleeper spy and must elude capture long enough to establish her innocence. This would be Angelina’s first film work since giving birth to twins Vivienne Marcheline and Knox Leon last month in France.

They’re stocked with the highest security precautions, cameras mounted on the rear, privacy curtains, and all the electronic gadgets you can ask for…except one. Surprisingly, Tom and company go about business the old-skool way, as you will see in this video. It’s sort of charming, actually, in that “I still pay for groceries with my personal check and two forms of ID” kind of way. Know what I mean, Vern? Anyway, check the video out for yourself. Mapquest ain’t got nothin’ on Tom and Katie.
Katie Gets Stoned

Our photogs caught up with Katie Holmes filming her guest appearance on ABC’s Eli Stone at the Union Station in downtown Los Angeles yesterday. Katie will be playing a non-profit attorney in the show and the episode will air next season on October 21. Mrs. Cruise was accompanied by hubby Tom and their cutie pie of a daughter, Suri, at the shoot. Suri’s definitely getting her mom’s height. She’s already so tall and she’s only two years old! Katie has been very busy preparing for Broadway role in a revival of Arthur Miller’s All My Sons. She will make her Broadway debut this fall and she will be tackling shows six nights a week. Tom Cruise kind of reminds me of Michael Jackson in that folks will not hesitate to openly love their old work, but you’d be pressed to find someone who’ll openly adore them these days. Well, we do know one person who absolutely adores her some Tom Cruise, and that’s his daughter Suri. Oh, and his wife Katie Holmes is a huge fan, too. I’m sure Tom’s spending today with his family because it’s his birthday! Happy 46th birthday, Tom Cruise! Other folks celebrating with the Top Gun:
