Travis Barker And DJ AM Reunite For New Year’s Bash

Former Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and DJ AM, also known as TRSVJDAM, will perform together for the first time since both were injured in a plane crash in September. The pair are scheduled to headline the New Year’s Nation New Year’s Eve party the Lot in West Hollywood and their set will be streamed live over the Internet and to to other New Year’s Nation parties in 10 U.S. cities. Barker released this statement:
“I’m ready to get back on stage with AM and continue to rock the house,” Barker said in a statement. “I’m very excited to bring in the New Year in my hometown of L.A.”
Both guys certainly deserve a great 2009 after all they’ve been through this year.
Travis Gives Thanks

Travis Barker is feeling especially grateful this Thanksgiving and used his MySpace blog to express his feelings to his fans and friends.
“Thanksgiving thanks
I wanted to say thanks today, and share my gratitude for everything Ive been blessed with. Family, friends, and continued support from everyone. Thank you for life, and all the little ups and downs that make it worth living. My best to everyone…”
Barker is still recovering from third-degree burns suffered in a September private plane crash that also injured DJ AM and killed four others.
Travis Barker Sues Over Plane Crash

TMZ is reporting that Travis Barker has filed suit in L.A. County Superior Court against Bombardier Inc., Clay Lacy Aviation and Goodyear Tire and Rubber in connection with the September plane crash that left him and DJ AM with severe burns and killed four others. The suit was filed by Barker and the mother of his friend and bodyguard Charles “Che” Still, who lost his life in the crash. Charges in the suit include tire failure, pilot negligence and various defects in the aircraft. Barker is suing for “pain and suffering, mental anguish, psychological and emotional distress and disfigurement and pre-impact fear of death and burning.”

UPDATE: Travis Barker has been released from the burn center where he was receiving treatment for burns suffered from last months plane crash. It’s great news considering just earlier today, he wasn’t sure when he would be released.
Travis Barker recently updated his MySpace blog posting pictures of himself and visiting friends & family in the hospital. Considering the insane plane crash he survived, he’s looking good. I love that he gets food from Matsuhisa delivered personally, now that’s the good life! And as for what he has to say to hospital life, the following picture should need no explanation. Ouch!

Box Office Champ Beverly Hills Chihuahua continued to stomp out the competition for the second weekend in a row, hauling in $17.5 million.
Lisa Marie Presley gave birth to twins via C-section last week although it was announced this past weekend. The twins, who came in weighing 5 lbs 15oz and 5 lbs 2 oz are said to be doing well along with Mommy.
A crazy man apparently threatened to stab Spice Girl Mel B, husband Stephen Belafonte and a group of Paps at London’s Heathrow airport. The man was arressted after going ape on the group, saying “I’ll get a knife and stab you!” No word on what set the man off.
