Let’s hope she doesn’t wear this Heidi-in-the-Swiss-Alps outfit for the rehearsal dinner, but I guess it would be sort of fitting. Uma Thurman IS marrying a Swiss multi-millionaire, after all. Yes, yes y’all, Uma Thurman just got engaged to boyfriend Arpad “Arki” Busson. This will Uma’s third marriage. Yes, it’s her third. Most folks know about her marriage to Ethan Hawke, but most probably don’t know that she was also married to Gary Oldman. They divorced in 1992. Arki, meanwhile, has two children with supermodel Elle Macpherson, from whom he split in 2005. As for the engagement ring, the New York Daily News reported that it’s so big “she can’t fit it through the sleeve of her coat.” Yes, that’s what 8-plus carats does to your coat. So, a big congratulations to Uma Thurman is in order. Let’s hope third time’s the charm for her.

Uma Faces Stalker

Oscar winner Uma Thurman faced one of her worst fears today. In a Manhattan courtroom, Uma confronted a former mental patient accused of stalking and harassing her. Eonline.com is reporting that Uma took the stand against Jack Jordan, a Maryland native who was arrested last October outside Uma’s Greenwich Village apartment. He was booked on misdemeanor stalking and coercion charges. Uma reportedly teared up in the stand as she recounted her fear for her kids and family’s safety. He even went as far as contacting her parents and brother. Her hands also shook at one point on the stand when she read a postcard sent to her by the defendant. Poor Uma. I hope she’s hanging out with loved ones tonight.
