Will Is Hollywood’s Most Overpaid

Forbes has released its annual list of the Hollywood hotshots who give the least bang for a studio’s bucks, and the usual gang of suspects are present—like Tom Cruise, Eddie Murphy and Jim Carrey. Topping the list is funnyman Will Ferrell, largely due to the dismal failure of “Land of the Lost” last summer.
Maybe nobody wanted to watch a film that looked like a tour of the La Brea Tar Pits, since “Lost” made only $65 mil and caused two studio heads to lose their jobs. Maybe Will’s next project should be a sequel to “Talladega Nights.”

SLN Thursday Update: Bush Endorses McCain
Friday, October 24th, 2008Last night’s Thursday Update on SNL was opened with a great skit. Will Ferrell made an appearance as George W. Bush endorsing McCain and Palin, though McCain was reluctant to accept his endorsement. Its a pretty hilarious skit topped off with Tina Fey (Palin) hiking up her skirt for a photo op. Genius! No one can forget Will Ferrell’s Frank character streaking his little heart out in Old School, and then asking his wife if there’s a Kentucky Fried Chicken open while he’s sitting naked in the car with her and her friends. Such a classic scene! Will Ferrell must be a hoot at home and a walking personal clown for his wife, and the biggest kid in Hollywood is celebrating his birthday today. Happy 41st, Will! We posted photos of your first look at Will Ferrell from the Los Angeles set of ‘Land of the Lost’ yesterday and now we’ve the video for your viewing pleasure. I have to admit, after seeing the still pictures, my interest was peaked but after watching the video, I think I may be on board! For a big guy, Ferrell can move pretty quickly.

JFXclusive! First Look: Will Ferrell In Land Of The Lost

Here’s your first look at Will Ferrell in the big screen adaptation of ‘Land of the Lost.’ Ferrell plays Park Ranger Rick Marshall who, along with his two children, inadvertently stumble into a mysterious land populated by dinosaurs and other creatures, including the mysterious and dangerous race of Sleestak’s. From the pictures, it looks like the theme of the movie will be more slapstick silly than serious. In the scene, Ferrell tosses the cigarette butt and the cheetos bag in the lake.
