Arghh! No Zac For “Pirates”—Yet

Reports of dreamboat Zac Efron taking over Orlando Bloom’s role in the next “Pirates of the Caribbean” film have proved to be, alas, premature. Zac was on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show today to promote “High School Musical 3: Senior Year” when he told the host, “Honestly, at this time it’s just a rumor.” He added, “I wish I was going to be in ‘Pirates of the Caribbean 4,’ so hopefully that will happen for me.” Given that he’s the hottest teen heartthrob around these days, and both “HSM” and “Pirates” are Disney franchises, it just might.

Vanessa Hudgens’ favorite dude, Zac Efron, was spotted leaving a Hollywood Hills home yesterday. The High School Musical star came in empty handed but left out with a signed photo and a blue sack. What’s in the sack, Zac? Yes, we’re super nosy today. Must be the Tuesday air. Actually, word on the street is that Zac’s planning a move, so maybe he’s just house hunting. Clad in a New York Love t-shirt and a beanie, the hunky teen also looked very much like Jared Leto. Seriously, those two can look like brothers. They should do a movie together. I would totally watch it on DVD. Anyway, I have more photos of Zac lookin’ like Jared after the jump. Enjoy them as much as I did!

…as Zac walks away from her. Yes, ladies and gents, this is the beautiful sight that girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens gets to check out when she and boyfriend Zac Efron part ways. Oh, don’t get me wrong. Of course he looks back at her, too, and I’m sure he sees a very nice view. But when it’s her turn to take one last glance at her honey, this is what she gets to check out. Not bad at all, I would have to say. But why are kids these days so intent on making us see their underwear? Really, though. Yeah, I sound like an octogenarian, don’t I? I should just go take my Metamucil and call it a day. Still, this is a nice view…
Zac & Van’s Best Buy

These kids and their hoodies. In the wake of summertime heat, Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens decided to sweat it out in warmer gear yesterday when they headed to Best Buy in Burbank. It looks like they picked up a nice Samsung computer screen. The High School Musical co-stars have been dating for over a year and looked like any regular young couple buying an electronic gadget for their first apartment or something. Except, of course, for the legions of Best Buy employees who were surrounding them. Did it really take that many people to help these two find something? Of course not. Vanessa’s been camera shy lately, too. She also had her hoodies working overtime yesterday when she tried to sneak out of Zac’s house (unsuccessfully, obviously). Ah, young love in the public eye. What could be more romantic?
