Crack Kills

This is very disturbing news. Actress Tatum O’Neal was arrested near her home in New York City for allegedly buying crack cocaine. A NY City police confirmed to People Magazine that Tatum was seen purchasing the drugs at around 7:30 p.m. Sunday night. She was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, which is a misdemeanor. The alleged drug dealer was also arrested. Tatum was arraigned and posted bail today before noon. When officers approached her, she reportedly asked them: “You know who I am, right?” She also claimed she was “researching a part – I’m doing this for a part as a junkie” and wanted to know they “could forget about this”. Tatum has had her share of drug problems in the past and went to rehab in 1986 and she claimed to be clean since then. She’s due back in court July 28.
