“Ugly Betty” Actress Calls Miley “Professional”
Monday, November 17th, 2008
There are a lot of people taking potshots at Miley Cyrus lately but “Ugly Betty’ actress Vanessa Williams isn’t one of them. Williams co-starred with the teen phenom in the “Hannah Montana” film coming out next year and had only praise for her when she spoke to OK Magazine.
“She’s got a foundation,..She grew up in Tennessee on a great farm. They’ve got horses, she drives all the 4×4s, they make the kids do chores…She’s lived a relatively normal life, watching her dad on the road, so she knows that aspect, but she also knows work. That’s why she’s such a professional.”
Whatever Miley’s doing, it’s made her the richest teen star on the planet.
Hannah On The Rodeo
Tuesday, July 15th, 2008The Hannah Montana crew has moved on from the beaches of Malibu to the golden streets of Beverly Hills. Our photogs caught up with Miley Cyrus and company filming on Rodeo Drive yesterday. Vanessa Williams was also shooting some scenes, so I guess she’s in the upcoming Hannah Montana video/film. Good times. Miley recently talked to People Magazine about wanting to make a cleaner and younger version of Sex and the City. Um, don’t they already have Gossip Girls? Miley should not go anywhere near a project with the word ’sex’ in it until she’s 18. That’s what I say. Just let Hannah Montana go to college first before you start trying to emulate Samantha or Carrie, will ya, Miley? Por favor? Anyway, there are a few more pics from the Hannah Montana set after the jump, so check them out.
Better Late Than Never
Tuesday, May 6th, 2008As if being in one of the biggest shows on TV isn’t enough. Vanessa Williams, 45, will soon be a college graduate. Yes, you can now go out and buy one of those “Super Grad” balloons and send it to her. Nearly 25 years after leaving Syracuse University, Vanessa will be getting her Bachelors of Fine Arts degree this weekend. She will also deliver the convocation address Saturday to graduates of Syracuse’s College of Visual and Performing Arts, according to Huffington Post. Good times and congrats to Vanessa! A lot of celebs forgo getting their degrees after becoming a success, but I think it’s great Vanessa is going back to Syracuse to get hers.
